Our 1st Jr. FLL Exhibition!

Right before the holidays Pony Princess and Kinetic Kid got the opportunity to participate in their first Jr. First Lego League Exhibition. It was such an awesome experience. I got to see how all their weeks of collaboration and teamwork paid off. At this level is more about learning how to present your project to the judges and other teams rather than any direct competition. All the children received a certificate and a medal. Not only are we signing up for Jr. FLL again next year but we will also be supporting Mecca the Great in FLL. I guess we are officially those people now. You know the Cool Robotics Kids family.

    1. Here is the national site. Check it out. Try and see if they have a homeschool team in your area. http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/jr.fll

  3. Their presentation looks awesome!! We are definitely going to connect with Jr. FLL this year. Thanks for sharing your experience. Also, I have a question. Budget is always a consideration in a one income household. Could you give me some idea of the overall cost to participate with Jr. FLL (registration, kit, etc.?) Thanks!

    1. Jr. FLL teams can get sponsorship. Some teams do it at cost while others use grant or donated funding. So its really team by team how much it will cost. Take a look at the FIRST site and try to find a team in your area. If they do not have one you can always start one. http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/jr.fll
